Delivering for Fowler.

Gurjant Singh Khosa came to America at twelve, served 37½ years with the U.S. Postal Service, and retired as Postmaster of Pleasanton. Now he’s running for Fowler City Council — to bring that same standard of service home.

The Story

From Punjab to Fowler.

Gurjant arrived from India in 1978, a twelve-year-old learning a new country. Nobody handed him anything — he earned it, the way Fowler does.

At nineteen he joined the United States Postal Service. While working overtime to support his family, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Finance from Fresno State in 1993 — mail floor by day, classes by night.

Over 37½ years he rose to Postmaster of Pleasanton: 225 employees, a $15 million annual budget, and in 2012 the top-rated post office in the entire Bay-Valley District. He’ll tell you it was the best job he ever had — because it was public service.

Retirement brought him back to the Valley, to family and farming. The service never stopped. Now he’s asking to serve you.

Priorities

What he’ll fight for.

Honest budgets

Four decades of accountable public budgeting. Healthy reserves, and a clear public answer for every dollar Fowler spends.

Safe, clean neighborhoods

Full support for police and fire, fixed streets and streetlights, and code enforcement that treats every block — old and new — the same.

Water & infrastructure

Serious planning for water reliability and aging pipes and roads, so today’s growth doesn’t become tomorrow’s crisis.

Growth that respects our roots

Welcome new homes and businesses along the 99 corridor while protecting farmland — and making development pay its own way.

Farmers & small business first

Cut red tape, speed up permits, and treat the people who create jobs here as partners, not problems.

A city hall that answers to you

Open doors, straight answers, and respect for every resident — in the language your family speaks at home.

Community

Every family, in their language.

Gurjant and his wife raised their son on faith, family, and hard work — the values Fowler lives by. He serves the community he came from and the one he chose.
